Employee Free Choice Act Updates
In response to the growing defection of Senate Democrats from the ranks of EFCA support, proponents of the bill have begun to discuss compromise language in an effort to garner more widespread approval. While no definitive proposal has been presented, such alternatives include ambush elections, increased access for unions, postcard check, and baseball style government arbitration. Although these proposals may be considered a compromise, each proposal is as onerous as EFCA in its current form. You can voice your opposition to EFCA and the alternative proposals by contacting Colorado's Senators and Congressional Representatives. See ourEFCA website for a sample letter. Additional information about EFCA and the alternative proposals can be found on our EFCA website and from our EFCA on demand webinar.
