360° Leadership Assessment
For leaders to be successful in a competitive and ever-changing business environment, it is critical that they understand their current level of performance and how they can take their performance to the next level. MSEC's 360° leadership assessment process gives leaders a comprehensive view of their strengths and development needs, as seen by their boss, peers, direct reports and others, while addressing specific skills and behaviors that can enhance their performance.

MSEC's assessment process utilizes The Profilor, a research-based, online, developmental tool which identifies core competencies needed at various levels in the organization. The Profilor report provides a detailed picture of the leader's job performance in key areas including decision making, strategic ability, business and financial acumen, execution, drive and initiative, customer service, teamwork, coaching and developing, relationship building, self-management and adaptability. Because different roles demand different capabilities, Profilor assessments have been rigorously researched and specifically designed for different levels in the organization including:

360° Leadership Assessment Options

Individual 360° Coaching
MSEC's certified coaches work with leaders one-on-one over three sessions to provide a customized, in-depth developmental experience. In the first session, the coach explores the leader's goals, the context in which they are leading and previous 360° assessment experience. The coach provides an overview of the process and helps the leader identify potential raters. In the second session, the leader receives a comprehensive report that features a graphical and numerical compilation of the feedback and specific developmental suggestions. The coach and leader review the findings, including leadership competencies that are deemed most important to the job, strengths and areas for development and variation among rater group feedback. In the third session, the coach works with the leader to create an actionable development plan and to prepare debriefing sessions with raters.

Group 360° Workshops
For organizations that have multiple leaders and want to work in a group setting, MSEC provides facilitated 360° workshops. In advance of the workshop, leaders are given guidelines for the 360° assessment process and rater selection. During the workshop, an MSEC facilitator provides an overview of the Profilor instrument, and leaders are guided through a process of analyzing their reports and developing an action plan. Organizations can also benefit from an optional group report which illustrates the combined strengths and development needs of the leadership team.
