MSEC’s trained staff of attorney-investigators assists members by conducting prompt and lawful investigations.  We help you assess the issues, identify the risks, and develop an informed approach to any investigation.  Our investigations are prompt, thorough, and impartial.  Should a legal challenge arise, our investigators are ready to assist in defense of the investigation. 

 

Beyond meeting the law's expectation for appropriate investigation, MSEC interviews provide individual participants with a unique opportunity to be heard by a third party.  An MSEC investigation can de-escalate emotionally-charged situations while creating comprehensive documentation to support appropriate corrective action.

 

Our investigators conduct over 100 investigations each year on:

 

• Harassment and discrimination complaints

• “Hostile work environment” allegations

• Workplace violence

• Employee/supervisor misconduct

• Suspected illegal activity, such as drug use or theft

• Employee or management competence concerns

• Mismanagement complaints
